The winner of the scholarship will be chosen based on the criteria outlined below and will be awarded this $1,000 award to pursue their education.

Domestic Abuse Prevention Scholarship
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a U.S. undergraduate, graduate or law program or be graduating high school seniors enrolling in post-secondary education. Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and write an essay pertaining to domestic abuse legislation.

The purpose of the Dr. Arnita Young-Boswell Scholarship, is to recognize and honor African American students who have demonstrated academic excellence, a concern for their community, the Black Family, as well as a desire to continue their post-secondary education.
