The Bloomington/Normal Alumnae Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. presents our 2019 Educational Scholarship for high school seniors.
For consideration, the student must:
Be African American
Reside in Bloomington/Normal area
Attend a high school in the Bloomington/Normal area
Graduate from high school no later than June 20, 2019
Be enrolled in an accredited two-, three-, or four-year college or university for the 2019-2020 school term
Attach a resume that documents: scholastic honors/awards, extracurricular activities (include any clubs, teams and offices held), community/church activitiesApplication must be postmarked by April 24, 2019

DEADLINE EXTENDED: April 30, 2019 11:59 pm ESTThis opportunity awards scholarships to academically talented and highly motivated African-American or Black students pursuing an associates, undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral degree.
ELIGIBILITY
Be a U.S. citizen or permanent U.S. resident
Qualified applicants must be currently enrolled full-time in an accredited academic institution
Have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale
Exhibit leadership ability and participate in community service activities
Selected applicants will be qualified African-American or Black students and constituents of a CBC member’s district. -
