    Community member Tinka reminded me of a checklist that would be helpful. This contains a list of actions to take to get your kiddo into college nd do it debt free!

    Hello, he visited 8 schools over the Spring break and likes Hampton and Howard. Yikes! They are out of state and we don’t qualify for many need based scholarships. I need help. I am not finding much to apply for. If you could send me some that juniors can apply to. We did a few in the last few months.

    Hey Tinka!

    Hampton has given good scholarships. So that a plus. Howard is notorious for not giving much aid.
    You should be able to find your local bank of scholarships by googling this pattern:

    [the name of your city & state] + the term “scholarship foundation”.

    I’ll keep including scholarships juniors are eligible for in the weekly messages. Also, go through past scholarships here and in the google classroom.
