The real intense work of creating a scholarship pipeline that leads to a #DebtFreeDegree is best started the 11th grade year. Imagine using the final semester of junior year and the summer before senior year as a time to get tight essays written, visit college campuses, complete applications, and arrange a fantastic college resume, as well as get really good recommendation letters. These 12 steps are what you should take to put infrastructure in place so that you and your college bound teen can can create a SCHOLARSHIP PIPELINE that leads to a #DebtFreeDegree.

Step one:
Have Your College Bound Teen Complete the Scholarship Questionnaire. The answers will be used to (1) complete the college resume, (2) inform any essays you have to write that ask about gifts, goals, awards, honors, and/or community service, and (3) give you both a clearer picture of patterns and purpose, toward narrowing down their college major, and eventually, career path:

Have them download and print the form out to write on it directly, and then scan it, and save it to a shared google folder OR copy the questions onto a google doc, type the answers into it, and save it to a shared google folder.
