    Hey Tinka!

Hampton has given good scholarships. So that a plus. Howard is notorious for not giving much aid.
You should be able to find your local bank of scholarships by googling this pattern:

[the name of your city & state] + the term “scholarship foundation”.

I’ll keep including scholarships juniors are eligible for in the weekly messages. Also, go through past scholarships here and in the google classroom.

Whoa! Folks have started to send me some GREAT opportunities for college bound teens. ONE is a zoom meeting about college access geared toward juniors and seniors, ANOTHER is a Navy ROTC scholarship that “covers 100% of undergraduate tuition, books, uniforms, and includes a monthly subsistence allowance”. Also if you’re in the St. Louis metro, Spelman is having a meet up and I attached the flyer.

    Good evening Seniors!

As you look to find innovative ways to pay for college next year, please consider the Lessie Bates Davis Neighborhood House AmeriCorps Program. They have set aside a budget to provide Educational Awards (scholarships) to college students that are willing to volunteer as a mentor, tutor, or serve at any non-profit in their community. They are looking to recruit motivated individuals who value the importance of volunteering and giving back! The student/s would have to volunteer a total of 300 hours to receive the educational award. Students will receive their Educational Award upon successfully completing their hours.

The qualifications are simple, you must be

a student attending a college or university
be 17 years of age or older
you must have a high school diploma/GED/college transcripts upon the completion of their service hours.
Students can receive this educational award a total of three times. We have plenty of educational awards to disburse so please inform as many students as you can. This is a great and easy way for students to receive funds for their college tuition. The Educational Award is worth a total of $1,289. 95.

If you or another student have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to contact me via email or at the number below:

One technique for finding scholarships is to troll other high schools’ scholarship pages in your area. I realize that you going to a private school makes you ineligible for much of this, but looking at this page may give you some more ideas:
